Over 50 years ago, the members of the Navy Officers’ Wives’ Club had a vision to build a retirement community to benefit the widows of servicemen. Together with the corresponding clubs of the Coast Guard and the Marine Corps, in 1969 their vision was realized when the newly established Navy Marine Coast Guard Residence Foundation opened the doors to what eventually became Vinson Hall Retirement Community.
Today, the Navy Marine Coast Guard Residence Foundation actively supports the residents and programs of all three Vinson Hall Retirement Community residences; Vinson Hall, Arleigh Burke Pavilion, and the Sylvestery.
Both Vinson Hall Retirement Community and the Navy Marine Coast Guard
Residence Foundation are 501c3 non-profit organizations and both depend on the
financial support of individuals, organizations, and businesses that are committed
as we are to providing the highest level of care to our residents. As we build, grow,
and enrich life within our community, NMCGRF remains grateful to our generous
donors, partners, and volunteers. If you would like more information about making
a gift to the Foundation, or how else you can participate in our mission, please
