Navy Marine Coast Guard Residence Foundation continues to pursue the mission envisioned by the Naval Officers’ Wives’ Club of Washington nearly forty years ago: “stability, security, and quality care” for every resident of Vinson Hall, Arleigh Burke Pavilion and The Sylvestery. Our original mission in 1961 was to provide “affordable housing for widows of the sea services officers who had not provided sufficient funds for their wives to live in dignity.” Now, our community has grown to include commissioned officers of all the uniformed services, their spouses and immediate family members, as well as others from the community.
